Our Story

Founded in 2015, HSDRR hopes to grow and become a leading rescue in the Joplin, Carthage area that can partner with local shelters to pull high risk animals or animals that need rehabilitation. Specializing in senior dogs, we allow some seniors the ability to live out their days in our "sanctuary" or home. We strive to try to develop good community relations as well as provide a vet assistance fund for veterinary care, emergency kenneling and care for animals whose owners are fleeing unsafe situations, find themselves without a home or just fall on some really hard times.
